Eric this is my own experience with Express-1 speaking and may not reflect that of other drivers, owners etc. I have two trucks with E1 and I have seen much more freight out of south. My trucks do a lot in Ky,Tn,some NC and Ga. I have been very happy with what is now down there. I am comparing this to our runs prior to the merger. We used to spend much more time in In. and Mich. Ill. Now we are happy to take the runs to south knowing that we can get out. We have also run into Ms. and have gotten loaded out of there or simply moved to Memphis Tn. and loaded out of there. Overall I have seen more freight down there. Hope that helps. In an effort to be sure you are clear on my background. I have been with them for a year and have two trucks with them. I am working to ad a third sooner or later. I am also a driver holding a class A. I sometimes drive one of my own trucks or drive for an in town carrier in their truck. I also have experience with Fed Ex ground with two trucks that my daughter and her husband now own and operate.
