Texas is by no means a huge dog but at a year old and not all the way filled out, and at eighty pounds she is not a lap dog.

Texas, our German Shepherd got into the truck at about seven weeks of age. She started out having to stay in a kennel when we were not in the truck and also sleeping in the kennel at night. This kennel lasted for about two months until she outgrew the kennel and we went one size larger and she stayed in this kennel when we got out of the truck. She was allowed to stay loose at night. We got lucky with Texas and her personality.

When we went to see Texas, she was an outdoor puppy. We met her mama who was a very happy dog and happy to see people. That was a great start and then we played with the puppies as there were three females. Texas stood out to us and off we went with her. From the first moment she was placed in the truck she felt safe and was comfortable. The best part was she has never gone potty inside the truck and next is she likes her toys and has never chewed on any of the interior fixtures.
