Bailout coming to you? (Conditions may apply)

Just looking at Fox's website just now. These two stories appeared together near the top in the headlines. Taken together, this can't be good.

Obama Administration to Order Steep Pay Cuts for Bailed-Out Companies - Political News - FOXNews.com

Obama to Expand Bailout to Small Businesses - Political News - FOXNews.com

What happened to the rule of law? I know that nasty little "ex post facto" clause in the Constitution forbidding passing of retroactive laws gets in the way sometimes, so I guess the current administration will just make up its own rules.

WOULD you really want a bailout knowing that there might be conditions imposed upon you somewhere down the road? Do we really need or want the Feds dictating how much you or your employees are worth?

I am no fan of these huge salaries for the top CEO's, but since when is it legal for the Federal Government to dictate private salaries? You know where this will eventually lead.

ahhh contrary to what some barry supporters here will tell you, barry has no idea what is Constitutional....just because he taught Constitution law dosen't mean he has any idea how it work. Most everything he has done since dropping his azz in the chair in the west wing that has had anything to do with these bailout, has been un-Constitutional.....

I was talking to a business owner friend last week, he uses SBA loans alot for business purchases. He said his banker warned him that the gov was talking about opening up more sba credit lines, but part of the restrictions would be salary limits on owners and officers of the business......now i have no proof of this, but the guy has no reason to make it up.....

I did not take the money handed the last time ,or the one before ,and will not take it next time.
there's no 'free money' .
it will not help ,they will still dictate , but at least i can sleep well ,knowing i don't owe them nothing .

i also have no problem with anyone making ridiculous salary ,as long as they in the privet sector ,doing it legally ,and paying taxes . good for them , i wish i can make it , free world right ?
that's what so nice about America , (or used to be...)

to the point , yes good find , you are right on the mark , although it was expected , the gov. have no place running any business . and more so dictating income .

Now come on Moose, there are people right here on this board that will tell you that if you make too much money, you are just "greedy"!! There are too many people that go without and those making too much need to provide for them... you know, be forced to share the wealth.....forget about this being America and everyone having the God given right to provide for themselves....
