I don't have my own authority.Heard through the posts that with all of the hassle, probobly not worth it(Iv'e been known to be wrong before though-up for advice or opinions).Does anyone know of a way to be contracted for more than one company.Maybee an expediting co. and a hot shot co. to lessen the sitting time.I have a 05,G.M.C.,3/4 ton ext cargo van.I know that vans are saturated but that's what I have.Iv'e been doing expediting for about 2years now and just feel that my time is worth more than what I make.I know-same ole story .Would really appreciate any suggestions.
THANK YOU!!

This has been discussed in the past . The big issue seems to be insurance and how bobtail insurance would be covered if you emptied from one company and were going to load for another . I have always recommended getting unladen liability rather than bobtail because it covers you when empty without question . I suspect though if you were working for 2 carriers and they knew it neither would give you priority for the best loads - they'd give contractors working exclusively for them priority .

I hope you had a chance to read all the archived posts. A few yrs back there was some extensive debate on this forum, regarding authority.
