There's something wrong when assault with intent to commit murder has a penalty of imprisonment for not less than 1 year and robbery in the first degree has a penalty of imprisonment for not less than 5 years. Then again, it is California.

Human life means nothing to a lot of people. It would seem that it may be the case with California law makers, not that it is all that surprising.
