A poet's point of view

One of my favorite quatrains by Robert Frost:

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

And then, there's this sampling from Robert Frost:

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

I used to ride these roads
with my little dog Lisa
One day she fell out the passenger side window
and now she's just street pizza....

LRE... I see you're a fan of Edgar Allen Poe. A real sense for the macabre.

Funny you should mention that:

"We should bear in mind that, in general, it is the object of our newspapers rather to create a sensation - to make a point - than to further the cause of truth."
The Mystery of Mary Roget

Layoutshooter and the Chef might enjoy that one...

What? Newspapers wouldn't resort to sensationalism. The obituary page is where I go for factual reporting.

I came in with Halley's Comet in 1835. It is coming again next year (1910), and I expect to go out with it. It will be the greatest disappointment of my life if I don't go out with Halley's Comet. The Almighty has said, no doubt: "Now here are these two unaccountable freaks; they came in together, they must go out together."

That's just because you don't have a GPS.
