A Dumb Questions on License Plates

I am licensing a Sprinter that is under 10k GVWR . Do I need commercial plates for expediting?

I dont know where you live or how the laws are there, but I live in Ohio, and I plated my van for over 10,000 gvw,truck plate. Even though it is 9,400 gvw from the factory. I did this for the reason to avoid e-check, even though it is a diesel.
And the only stupid question is one not asked.Your question was a good question.

It depends on the state you live in. In Pa. it would be a standard truck plate for a cargo van or sprinter or a car plate for a passenger van or passenger sprinter.

check your local dmv online. if you have frt in it and have a dot number most likely you will need commercial plates.
