2017 Sprinter Air Conditioning oprtios

Hi - I have 2017 Extended MB Sprinter and looking for suggestion for Engine off AC options. Currently have Webasto air top for heating ($1,300 with installation). What would be the best/most economical option for air conditioning? I need AC for the driver Cabin only, the cargo area is separated.

If I were going out in a van again I would go with the Onan quiet 2800 mounted in the spare tire well and a Coleman low profile roof top a/c. It's not at all the most economical but it powers computer, phone charger, microwave with a/c turned off while running, lights, etc. etc.. The only drawback is oil changes every 200 hours. That may have changed in the almost 10 years since I got mine. Good luck with your project.

A 8400 btu Colman non ducted, low profile, roof top A/C unit, works fine for a insulated 5 foot sleeper space. Powered buy a 2000 watt generator. With a inverter/charger it keeps the aux battery’s properly charged as well.
