Hello guys I'm new here I been having some issues with my 268 looking for some advice I recently got a cod p0708 The truck was stuck on one gear took it to the shop they replace the neutral safety switch but the issue keeps on coming back only when the truck sits overnight if I drive it for 5 to 10 minutes on limp mode the overdrive kicks in and goes back to normal any advice much appreciated

So, P0708 is a range switch open circuit. Replacing the range switch makes sense, as it's a common thing to fail. What I would have done at the same is replace the transmission's internal wiring harness, since they already had the pan off, and the harness is only about $75. The harness does fail on occasion, and at this point if I'm taking the pan off to fix something electrical, then I'm putting a harness in it as insurance.
