2007 Hino rollback 268 tow truck

Hi there im just bought a 2007 hino 268 rollback tow truck automatic allison transmission and it has od and d on the gears im just not sure if i should leave on drive or overdrive all the time? does anyone can tell me if i have to switch in the city to back to drive ? or if i should leave on overdrive all the time ?

Leave it in OD. You wont hurt a thing. If you drive it in just D you will use more fuel, work the transmission and the engine harder. Change the spin on filter with a GENUINE ALLISON filter every 50k, clean the magnet that sits above the filter and if its missing get one from a dealer. Use Allison Transynd fluid whenever possible. If not available use Allison TES-295 approved fluid. Don't waste your time with the TES- 389 stuff, its junk fluid with 1/4 of the interval of the 295.
