Guess there really wasn't a "DRIVER SHORTAGE"

Wonder how many unemployed drivers will buy a van and expedite.

If the story is accurate, I wish them well.

I think the same article said “in November 2018, some 4,100 trucking jobs were added”. It also mentions that 2020 forecasts show continued negatively. I retired from oil & gas due to a saturated market with thought of getting a CDL & driving. Unfortunately it looks much the same. I think the only 2 fields sucking air in this economy are oil & gas & trucking.

My advice to stay local and pick up as much local work as you can and diversify the amount of things you can do. Uship is dead, rates are at all time low and competition is high. How is expediting lately? Local courier work might be the solution.
