    Health off the road

LOL! That was true several decades ago! I am FAR beyond "pup" age now. I would say now that "Well Seasoned Veteran" is more accurate.

    Health off the road

We are now looking at a "cardio" machine for the house, to extend exercise time when the weather is not good and there is no hunting season to keep me moving. We are also looking at a bird dog, a wire haired Griffon. Providing the for the needs of a breed that needs constant exercise will help...

    Health off the road

So does the long hours stuck in seats, bad air and lack of meaningful exercise. Being able to spend hour upon hour, outside, in the fresh air, walking, moving whenever the mood suits, does wonders, not only for the body, but the spirit as well. Being the the company of family, and friends...

    Those fast foods.............

The knees are responding well to the weight loss. I can now walk for about 1/2 when before the weight loss I could only do about 10 minutes. I speaking on concrete, like the floors in malls and stores. In the woods, on soft ground I can walk for much longer.

My update. Went to see a BUNCH of health care people today. My nutritionist says I no longer have to see her any more. I am to continue losing as I am, about 1lb per week. She is happy with what I am eating. A+ Talked to my DR. I have eliminated one med and have cut two in half. One of those...

A 4 mile walk, no outdoors needed.

The problem is finding places to walk that are NOT concrete etc. Malls and stores hurt and are VERY hard on knees. So are truck stop parking lots. Between the two, malls are better, they are a bit safer and, for the most part, don't stink.

    Diabetic Friendly

"I'm not so sure that 12g bread is any more particularly diabetic friendly than regular white bread." From what my nutritionist tells me, bread is bread.

I do the aspirin as well. Never had to do this stuff when I was young. I need a pill to lose 30 years, THAT would take care of a LOT of problems! Losing age is what the DR's should be looking at, more so than weight! LOL!!

    Those fast foods.............

I have been as low as 95/60, but mostly around 115/70 Mine will never be normal without some kind of meds. I was in very good shape, good weight, when my pressure went up. Almost all the men on my Dad's side of the family have BP problems by the time they are 50. Some younger. I was in my 40's...

Thanks, as you know, it ain't easy. My pulse is fine, most of the time. The pressure is starting to be a problem. Not all the time, but more and more as the weight drops. I see the DR on the 29th, going to see about adjusting the meds a bit.

I am down 30lbs so far, but I will likely never be off of the BP meds. There is a strong genetic history of high BP to deal with. I am going to have them cut back as my BP is getting a bit low at times.
