Mexican Trucks not needed on U.S. Roads

Hi x06col, It has been a while since I posted. How are you? I wonder if you have been down to border lately? (Laredo, Eagle Pass, Los Indios, El Paso or Nogales) I have a real problem with the trucks coming across right now. Many of them are bailing wired together. The tires are wore out and...

Anyo have feedback on C& M Transport?

I had two of my trucks on with C&M for awhile. They are a great company. If you sign on with them you best be ready to work cause they will run your wheels off. I have since moved both trucks but not because of anything C&M did. In both cases it was issues with the drivers. One had a serious...

    idle stick?

Draco, You said, "I did some checking and since I have a boxer that rides w/ me I can idle my Sprinter with no problems. Strange that pets have more rights then people in that retrospect." Where did you find that information? Maybe I will get a pet to travel with me. Kathy

    idle stick?

I have looked in several truck stops and have not found an idle stick. I think I'm going to engineer one for my Sprinter. It would seem to me that I could take one of the 2 foot adjustable wood clamps and modify it to use as an idle stick. It has a screw-down clamp that I can use for fine tuning...

    Be Our Guest!

Cheri, I hope you get well soon. I'm been sick myself lately. Whatever this latest round of flu or crud is it makes its victims weak and usually leaves the bronchitis behind. I'm not sure I will make it to the show either. Aside from the illness going to trade show always makes me want to spend...

    protection

Here's a tip that a veteran female driver on another site gave me that helps me sleep a little better. Before turning in to get some sleep connect a strap across the inside of the cab from door handle to door handle and tighten it snug. If someone breaks the glass to gain access to the cab it...

    Looking To Buy

If you want a really good laptop at a very reasonable price you should go with Dell. They stand behind their systems and support is really good. They also have refurbished from time to time that have come back on expired leases. I strongly advise against Gateway. Everyone I know that has owned...

    Blood pressure problems

Hi Crazynuff I just had my physical also. I have never had high blood pressure but the machine in the clinic showed me with 159/99. I told the nurse I should just leave and have my family doctor check it. My doctor checked it a couple hours later and said it was 130/70 which is where it usually...

    Pre-Trip and Post-Trip

I just finished re-reading the HOS thread from a month or so back. I like to do my pre-trip inspection after I finish a load. In other words a post-trip and pre-trip at the same time so I'm ready to go when the next load comes in. I like to have the fuel tank full, oil checked or topped off...

    WI-FI service

The only way you can get a fair comparison is have both cards side by side or at least in the same parking lot. Lots of things effect speed such as wind, rain, clouds, heat ect. Also Cingular has three generations of technology out there. If you're in an area that supports EDGE you will get the...

    WI-FI service

I'm a heavy duty internet user. I use a Cingular air card. The coverage and speed are excellent. I agree with the other person you mentioned, I also use Flying J's WiFi service if I need to. I don't care for "Cingular" the company as far as customer service goes but I seldom use customer...

RE: i tested bio performance fuel tabs in sprinter Please post a brand name or a source where we can purchase the tablets. I've gotten as high as 30 mpg (normal is around 24) on my Sprinter without the tablets, I would like to see what I get with them! Kathy

    WI-FI service

Vipra, I tried the cell phone, cable and software method and found it painfully slow. Maybe cause I have several years of hard core computer programming experience, I guess I just expect more. The method also eats up your cell phone minutes, which if you have free nights and weekends or...

    WI-FI service

MRSNAPPY Assuming you have Windows XP. When the Flying J connection is active you should have a small picture of a computer on the lower right corner of the screen. Place your mouse pointer on it and click. A "Wireless Network Connection" screen should pop up. Click on the button that says "View...

    >Klip... what is a wilson antenna? I've never heard of them. TeamDrivers2 already explained a little about Wilson but they also make just the antennas for around 50 bucks. Smoothtalker.com also makes antennas and boosters that can be adapted to most air cards. I use a Smoothtalker booster...

    Retrofitting Vans and Sprinters

I think your timing for this idea is perfect. The Sprinter is up and coming in the USA. The season is ripe! I bought my Sprinter in 04 and had to do all my own conversion. Now there's a shop down in Austin and one up in Oregon that converts them. We do need more!
