    What's with all the fees?

I have been at it a long time and I can't think of any. ;)

CDL newby looking to purchase an expeditor and go to work Advice?

It is a mixed bag as far as what they pay. I would still recommend driving for someone and then you will gain experience and find a company that fits your needs without a huge cash outlay. You may find this worth reading since it is current...

CDL newby looking to purchase an expeditor and go to work Advice?

Probably won't like my answer. 15k basically means you have no money. You would be buying junk and then have to have the money in reserve to fix it. Save your money and drive for someone else and get alittle more road experience unless you just want to broker loads. Still need the broker bond...

    FedEx Custom Critical

Probably wouldn't hurt to look up LDB as he runs a van for them and is also out of the Houston area.

Is OnMyWay a good candidate resource?

It wouldn't be a typical place to look for drivers.

    We want to drive...

Your best bet is to get her a cdl. How to go about that depends on what state you are in. Then you have to decide what type of vehicle you are planning on driving. From there you would start looking at carriers and or fleet owners. I wouldn't rush to buy a truck unless you really know what you...

    Dear Recruiters of reputable companies

For a van that is probably true. Staights or tractors, not so much. Still pretty busy. Van market is over-saturated right now verses the available freight I see.

Sprinter Van Owner/Operator Looking to Run for Multiple Carriers

Maybe. Sometimes for that courtesy they pay much less and sometimes much later. Issues with small carriers either not paying or slow paying are all over the place in here. Sometimes being a number and getting paid on time has its rewards. ;)

Sprinter Van Owner/Operator Looking to Run for Multiple Carriers

If you are running with smaller carriers that you have a "rapport" with, wouldn't that be the carriers you would want to run with?

To fleet owners or company recruiters

Generally, the truck owner would receive a settlement statement from the carrier and the fleet/truck owner pays the driver. Some companies advance money on a load and some don't. Lot of variables depending on which carrier you are talking about. I would keep researching on here for the answers...

I would shoot Scuba a PM. He is doing a solo tractor I think and can give you current info on what he is doing.

    Panther truth

I am not aware of anything on this 24 hour rule. We have booked loads out of areas before we have even delivered the first. As far as pay, it is on 15 days, not whether that customer has paid or not. You can do an advance if needed but I don't think that many do. Procedures and all pertinent...

why is it so hard for a recruiter to return your calls

This thread and response might explain it. http://www.expeditersonline.com/forum/ask-recruiter/46448-express-1-info-please-2.html Not sure if that helps or not?

    Expediter Services

I think from what has been posted, I'll go with the results Linder and Bob provided with the exception of waiting on repairs. Buy a KW or Pete and you should never have to wait:D Couldn't resist. Unless you got a 1000 plus truck fleet, it isn't likely you would get anything done any faster...

    Express-1 info please

No need to complicate the simple. Most are wanting to know the costs/deductions and what their rates are. Probably more specifically rates pertaining to their start up reefer division. They would likely be better served to post those items thus eliminating calls where parties might or might...

    Expediter Services

You would likely serve your cause better if you accurately describe the benefits of your program. If your marginal information is put in a forum, it is going to be open to scrutiny and possibly marginal answers. What you interpret as cheap shots from other members is only based on your limited...

Your comments were relating to the benefits of this program with regards to Panther. I know you are now with Fedex with whom I thought Fedex supplied that same information free of charge. Maybe not? I am not there so maybe I have been mislead. As for whether I have time to haul freight is a...
