    Refrigerator

I've had several over the years, including a pricey Norcold, which was the worst of all. [Dinky freezer!] Replacing them is as easy as finding a Home Depot, Lowe's, WalMart, etc. If you want a separate freezer, as I do, you might have to check a couple places, but they're reasonably priced, at...

In USA How Much Maximum Salary For Truck Drivers

I should add: I wouldn't know about the other kind, either, except I saw someone sneeze once, after snorting, and it sure looked like it hurt!

In USA How Much Maximum Salary For Truck Drivers

You know it hurts to splurt Coke out of your nose?! [The kind that's not sposed to go into your nose, I mean] :drowning:

How do I beat the heat?

All good advice. But while you're getting it all together, carry a gallon of water for emergencies, and when you feel dehydrated [not having to pee is a major clue], you can hang your head out the window and pour water over it. [You need to be parked first, lol, preferably in the shade.] I like...

    Greasytshirt's Shirt

I went to a job interview once for a vending machine company, and I promised if hired, I wouldn't wear my favorite t shirt, the one that says "Change is inevitable - except from a vending machine." The interviewer offered me a job on the spot, lol. :D

    Premium or regular Diesel?

I can't answer that, but I do know that In & Il use a higher % of bio in diesel, which makes it gel at higher temps, so keep that in mind when fueling in the winter. [Use extra antigel!]

    Nice headlights

Do you guys ever think that those extremely bright lights may not be the best thing since sliced bread? Because really: do you want to blind me when I'm coming towards you on a narrow two lane road, driving a truck that takes half the road? I apologize if your lights aren't that...

    Glass cleaner

If you're interested in cleaning products that are effective, nontoxic [no fumes to poison you], safe around pets, and inexpensive, look up The Clean Team, Jeff Campbell's pro crew of cleaners. They didn't like what was available commercially for cleaning, so they worked with chemists &...

    Truck Refrigerators

I've always preferred the cheap fridge over the expensive models, with 2 caveats: a proper separate freezer, and enough inverter & battery power to run it without draining the batteries. For $600, I could replace mine 5 times, if need be, but after a year, it's still running fine.

    Glass cleaner

I was looking for some spray cleaner at WalMart today and saw the Sprayway for $2.38, cheaper than Windex. [Didn't need any, still have the last of a 4 pk from Costco]

    Glass cleaner

Ditto on the Sprayway, which is getting easier to find now than it used to be. And here's a nifty tip I learned from professional cleaners: when cleaning both sides of glass, use vertical swipes on one side, horizontal on the other. Makes it easy to see which side any pesky streaks are on. :)

Secure Keys and Fuel Purchase Cards in Parked Trucks?

I think Tknight is right: just give the drivers a key for each truck - it is a 'small' fleet, right? Keep the fuel cards out of sight in the truck, and you can match keys to trucks by color, putting a dab of nail polish on each key and an inconspicuous spot on the truck. Since you probably don't...

    Swing doors vs. Roll-up

What I said was "if it becomes unsecured while open" - a rollup door would come down, possibly while someone was underneath. I don't know how often that actually happens, but I know if it happened even once, some companies would immediately create a policy to prevent it happening again...

    Swing doors vs. Roll-up

During the time that it's open, if the door becomes unsecured, a swinging door could cause property damage, [itself and a truck parked beside it], but a roll up door could cause property damage to the freight, maybe the forklift going in/out, and injury to the person loading the truck, the...

What size Power Invertor do you need to run a 9200 BTU ac and Electric Heater?

It's a website for expediting, yes, but it's more than that: it's a community. Unlike most websites, we meet each other in person, often quite unexpectedly, which keeps the BS quotient down, lol. And it's a better website if we can keep it down online, too. You'll never find a 'flame war' here...

What size Power Invertor do you need to run a 9200 BTU ac and Electric Heater?

Same here. But what's even worse is the relaying of malicious secondhand gossip, repeating private conversations and comments, and describing events that may or may not have actually happened as "brutal truths".

What size Power Invertor do you need to run a 9200 BTU ac and Electric Heater?

I thought he ought to come to that conclusion too, if he did the work to figure it out. Killjoy. ;)

What size Power Invertor do you need to run a 9200 BTU ac and Electric Heater?

Xantrex is a respected name, pure sine is cleaner power, but the question is what are the startup and running [voltage] needs of your appliances?

    Locking Fuel Tank caps

Given that the thread is titled "Locking fuel caps", I don't believe it was the driver [of that truck] who put DEF in the fuel tanks, nor was it a mistake. I think anyone caught sabotaging a truck like this should be required to wear pink tutus & ballet slippers in public for the rest of his...

    Inverter help!!

It's always good to have a Plan B, lol. If worse comes to worst, you can always use the microwave at the truckstop or convenience store, now & then. ;)
