    Stand-by

We can be a Christian nation, or we can have freedom of religion, where no religion is preferred over another - pick one. If evil happens because we "threw God out of the schools/government/families" whatever, then it must have been wonderful before that happened: no children ever died, nobody...

    Plain English from our government?

Compared to insurance policies, that was crystal clear. I've read some insurance argle bargle that makes no sense, even though I know what every single word means - they're strung together in a way that is impossible to decipher. Who needs encryption programs, when this is free?

    No texting.......

It's good to see the focus shifting from texting to distraction. People need to know that any form of distraction can be deadly, when driving.

    JADE HELM

Going off topic is one thing, but that kind of temptation for Ragman to illustrate is bad form, lol. And no, we don't need to see the commercial, either!

    2011 stats, maybe higher now

A lot of professionals are licensed by the state, and when they apply for a license in another state, the specific Board in charge does a background check, to ensure the license is valid, so I don't think so.

    Calming down a bit.

The Autobiography of Mark Twain is one of the few books I keep, even with a Kindle and seriously limited space. [It's not a small book, lol] Forbidden to be published until 100 years after his death, [he was always mindful of the effect of his writing on those he cared about], it has some pretty...

    Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever

I noticed the antibiotic Cipro has that same effect: weird dreams. [If they are the same medication, it's cause I'm too long out of nursing to remember, and too lazy to look it up.] RMSF sounds horrible, but it could be worse: many women are unaware of the way some antibiotics can cancel out...

CERN has reached a new milestone.

Science is amazing, in that the failures are as educational as the successes. and everything, no matter how inconsequential it may seem, serves as a block for building upon. I only wish cities would honor their budding science stars at least as much as the silly "achievements" they trumpet...

I stayed up all night preparing an escape vehicle.

While there's a limit to what any one person can do, we are never better human beings than when helping someone who needs [and appreciates] it. Good job. :woot:

    Storytelling 101

It WAS a fun thread, but creativity can't be produced on demand. [Except for Robin Williams - he could do it.] The few people who can inspire it are an asset to any site. IMO.

    Americas most popular Mom

Because it would be a fatal error to go against popular opinion, in such a PC dominated field?

    Americas most popular Mom

Makes me wonder how many moms [and dads] didn't get honored for their actions, because nobody caught it on film, because they kept their offspring away from the trouble?

    Hillary without the wig?

I'm no fan of Hillary, but WTH? It's not a freaking beauty contest!

That Bible in your van or truck, imagine that.

And try to resist the easy puns, too. :p

That Bible in your van or truck, imagine that.

Have to agree. Not bc one can access the Bible, one can access Grimm's Fairy Tales, too, and/or anything ever written, and I think that's a smart thing. It's stupid bc it keeps changing my favorite acronyms [ETA, OMW] to something incomprehensible, lol.

Which EOL member would you vote for to be President of the USA?

[Canadian] Scott, because if you can do pithy, you can do anything, lol. Also to prove we don't hold Justin Bieber against them - too much. ;)

    I bought an Audi.
