    Wreaths Across America 2015!

On their website, there is also an option to buy a 'Patriot Pair' of wreaths, with one being placed on a veteran's headstone, the other delivered to an address of your choice. Last year, I sent one to my daughter in Florida, and she was in tears over the glorious smell of the wreath [and the...

    June in Load One land

It's good to know I can skip the trailer number, but I still don't get zip codes on load info, and have to select "BOL w POD" twice, even on one page, which most of them are. It's not a big deal, I just wondered. Though sometimes, the zip code can make a difference when choosing the destination...

I wonder why we don't get zip codes on the QC addresses lately? And when scanning, why do I select "BOL w POD" upfront, only to have it disappear and have to be re entered when ready to send? Oh - and am I supposed to include "trailer number" on the vehicle inspection, even though it isn't a...

Thanks, Diva, but it's the plate itself that doesn't hold up to the wind shear, looks like. I'm going to try reinforcing it with a couple more behind, until something better appears. I used zip ties for the wreath on the grill, that held very well, until I was ready to take it off.

In Kingman Az, waiting for new plate to be overnighted. Having been cited for plate on front bumper years ago, [because they don't care about the state requirement that it be there], I moved it to the rear, under the light, and it was sheared off by the wind. Does anyone have a simple way to...

Running through Oklahoma to the Texas panhandle, and did I ever mention I hate rain?

I never have - besides the crowding [at times], I'd rather leave it where someone is keeping an eye on it. I've got permission to park in my niece's driveway [Wellington, Ohio], the lot for Big 3 Racing {Brunswick, Ohio] and Darlington, SC. That about covers my needs, so far. :)

So, no vacay for you, eh? Or, it just has to be someplace with a ferry, lol. I understand - when away from the truck, we worry about breakins & theft, till we don't much enjoy the getaway. It really helps to find a secure parking place - I'm up to 3 now. [4 if you count the yard.] What does...

Is parking the truck [in a secure place] and flying an option? Spirit Airlines has some amazing cheap flights - I went to Orlando last week to see my daughter graduate, and am very glad I did. The brat probably wouldn't ever have mentioned she graduated magna cum laude - I about jumped out of my...

Glad you found it, because I read the responses [how to attach photos] and didn't understand a word of them, lol. I do it from a laptop, not a cellphone app, so it makes a difference.

New Load One Gold Rewards Program!

I got a whole season of Rumpole At The Bailey! [It's a BBC series, hard to find unless ordering online]. And a TV/DVD player so I can watch it, too, lol. Great stuff! What I'd like to see is driver oriented tech stuff, like dashcams, back up cams, - tools we can use to do a better job, maybe...

    April fooled ya !!!!!

I was really excited to deliver [to the X Games] in Aspen a few years ago, until I found the one way out to the east was closed for 3 days. Glad you had better luck, lol, this time of year is still 'iffy' in Colorado.

    April fooled ya !!!!!

When people talk because they have something to say, it's expo -nentially [see what I did there, lol] more interesting than when they talk because they have to say something. When it's more interesting, more people have something to say. Just saying. ;)

http://www.whas11.com/story/weather/conditions/2015/04/03/rain-flooding-forces-road-closures-jcps-to-delay-school-start-times/25230405/ It was nuts, Friday morning! All dried up now, at least the Outer Loop is. The fire at GE Appliance Park will keep it closed for another week, I read. Does...

    April fooled ya !!!!!

It's a good thing MATS was last week, because Louisville today is a royal mess! Parts of 65, and stretches of Outer Loop and National Turnpike Rd were underwater, with numerous abandoned vehicles in the middle of intersections. Plus, there was a huge black cloud near the Ford plant that looked...

Maybe the fender mirror on this Freightliner was made of "pot metal" too - it just fell off, driving through the J in Mt Vernon, Il. Course, it was full of the the most horrendous islands of choppy ice I've ever seen anywhere, and I felt like a rowboat in a hurricane, but still, you don't expect...

'S ok, I'm going to Alabama. And I'm going to really enjoy taking a shower & doing laundry, too, lol. But most of all, I'll enjoy getting out of the truck without putting on the snow boots, heavy coat, hat, scarf, and gloves, first. Freeeedom! :D

The weather boffins issued a wind chill advisory for tomorrow morning in Chicago of -20 to -30, and I am seriously sick of this snow, wind, and ice stuff. And that was before I stepped out of the truck at a dock in snow up to my knees! Cue the 'short people' jokes....
