    Flat Rate for FedEx CC?

We had a few good weeks, but it's still just not that busy for us. Getting where we're afraid to turn down a not so great load just because we aren't getting many offers and some money is better than none. Is there a reason Tval is so slow lately?

    Flat Rate for FedEx CC?

I think they would add extra for certain things, but that could be wrong. I know I wouldn't do every type of load for the same rate. Some are more of a hassle than others. Everyone has their likes and dislikes and their price to do those things.

    Flat Rate for FedEx CC?

It just seems weird that they guarantee expediter services certain miles and I know for a fact they hand pick their loads, their dispatch team picks them before they go out to regular trucks. They even told me this. So it's odd that all the good runs seem to cancel when freight volumes have been...

    Flat Rate for FedEx CC?

I do know when the deadhead is high, the rates aren't always adjusted. If we are close to loads, they typically have good rates. When we are higher it seems we have to bid them to normal. We just don't get counter offers that often lately. We got a bunch of surface load offers the other day that...

    Flat Rate for FedEx CC?

We do WG/Tval in a straight truck. DR Unit, and we have also noticed that we hardly get counter offers for some time now. Our loads have come out really low, with the exception of a really good one thrown in there sometimes. the other day we got offered a load at 2.43 a mile. Nothing too...

    Fedex

We have noticed that just in the 5 months we've been doing this, our rates have seemed to come across a lot lower and it's harder for us to get over 1.80 a lot of times. We've also been getting a lot of loads that they just want us to go meet a truck so they can use our pallet jack and lift...

    Fedex

I'm not new, but newer to FedEx. Looking for someone who would be willing to talk with me and give me some information and tips about fedex. Trying to learn some things, and not sure if it's slow right now or our decisions. Running team in a WG/Tval DR unit. Sitting a lot and not getting...

    Help

To me, it sounds like an owner who will be micro-managing your every move. If you are an independent contractor, I wouldn't sign something saying I had to take every load offered or call my owner. There's usually not enough time to do that anyway.

    Hino Drivers or O/O

We drove a Hino for about 9 months for an owner. It was brand new. It wasn't very powerful pulling up mountains and the seats were extremely uncomfortable. They gave me a lot of shoulder problems. Mechanically, we never had issues really. It was brand new though.

    Surface division?

We don't have DOD. I've heard a lot of people say the pay is not worth the hassle on he military loads. Personally, we've done only constant surveillance for military stuff and it was kind of a pain, but not too bad. Thoughts on this?

    Any fedex owners

No, I'm allergic to dogs. We had a dog once with us, but I just didn't feel like it got the exercise it needed so we found a new home for her:(

    Any fedex owners

Thank you, I think I will ask this potential owner for numbers to any current drivers. Maybe that will help me get a better feel for things. I have talked to lots of FedEx drivers and they all have really good things to say. We are excited to make the switch and eventually get into WG. I haven't...

    Any fedex owners

I'm not a newbie, but an experienced husband and wife team looking to make a switch to fedex. Straight truck but starting with surface until we get the proper credentials. Anyone know of any fedex owners with newer equipment? Or anyone care to PM me if they know of any owners to avoid? It's...

    Any panther van teams?

I agree on the mail part...I don't really want anyone opening my mail. Bills we just get all sent on the laptop electronically, same for bank statements. Still, some things can't be done that way, so our PO Box is full when we get by the house. Thinking of getting out of our small apartment...

    Any panther van teams?

My husband is 6 foot and can stand up in the sprinter. We have plenty of room and a sleeper so we don't see much difference except that we can go anywhere and feel more rested because if one of us gets tired we can switch driving at any time. Our sleeper allows us to haul 3 skids since our bed...
