    Sprinter 4500 and Hazmat

While it's certainly safer to have a bulkhead than to not have one, anything that is prohibited from being carried in the cab of a truck (most poisons, inhalation hazards, etc.) is also prohibited from being carried in a cargo van, bulkhead or no bulkhead, as the entire van is the cab.

    Is sleeping at night realistic?

Ah, the old recruiting joke... Become an expediter! See American... AT NIGHT! Somebody needs something built, it gets built during the day and then is picked up late in the afternoon, and is delivered when the consignee opens at 0600. A normal thing in expedite, but by no means the only...

Normal sleeping schedule as box truck driver?

Emergency freight can happen at any time of the day or night. That's why sleep management is one of the most important factors in expedite. Cargo vans especially, but straight trucks as well, need to grab sleep whenever you can. Even those dealing with HoS still need to manage their sleep...

Signing on to carrier as LLC?

Creating an LLC isn't a bad idea, but If you're the sole proprietor it doesn't make much difference. Read and lease agreement carefully, but most all reputable companies contain mainly the same things.

SOLO Straight truck make any money?

Married with a 1 year old at home... If you go out on the road your spouse will become a single parent, essentially, within 3 months. You'll come home once in a while and expect to make decisions your spouse is already accustomed to making without you. Soon after your spouse will see they don't...

SOLO Straight truck make any money?

As Rags said, Expediter Services are straight shooters, and they're not going to put you in a truck just to fail. Panther will likely keep you rolling and happy, just to keep Expediter Services happy is for no other reason. You may not max out your hours every week, but you'll come close.

Looking to drive but dont know where to start

The problem with solar on the roof is, depending on your 24 hour Ah requirements, it won't provide anywhere near the amp hours necessary to fully recharge your battery bank. And once you start charging the battery bank you need to continue the charge until the bank is fully charged, something...

    CREDIT/FINANCING REQUIREMENTS (SPRINTER VAN)

None of your posts make sense, and everything about your account screams foreign spammer. And now, boom, a link to a Norwegian bank. You don't know your first thing about expediting, yet you claim to be a dispatcher. Bub eye.

Looking to drive but dont know where to start

The problem is, no insurance company will touch you under 21 for expediting. To go out on your own to haul freight you still have to have your Operating Authority to legally haul freight and you have to file your insurance with the DOT to do that. Expediting is not a "have van, make easy...

I'm looking for Advice - Van Driving

My Sprinter had 930,000 on it when that goober ran me off the road and a road sign took out the hood, windshield and roof slope. It didn't take much to total the van, despite how good of condition it was in. The transmission only had 4000 miles on it. Ugh. 3 weeks on and 1 week off is not...

Cargo Van Owner Operators - Broker

Expedite is different than regular trucking. Expedite is mostly manufacturing, which is mostly the Midwest. There is quite a bit of expedite in the northeast, roughly Baltimore north to New England. But in the South there's just not that much manufacturing. Nobody is gonna expedite a box of...

Cargo Van Owner Operators - Broker

You want to make sure your insurance covers specifically expedite. There are no expedite load boards, not really. 99% of expedite loads are booked via private bid by phone call or email, or just direct-booked by the customer or a 3pl. Also, it's been shown time and time again that, with...

What'd your start up look like?

What you're going through is more or less normal for those who cross the border. I had 3 interviews for my FAST card. As far as the drugs go, there are all kinds of drugs that are legal, but you still can't use them while you are operating in a safety position where the public is at risk.
