I'm wondering if you misunderstood the pamphlet. I believe the $1.25 comes in with it being the amount the FSC is supposed to bring fuel costs down to.

Re: sircharles4999 If the rate is 1.70, I'm guessing the FSC and load money are all tied in together. Thus, the 28%. C&M was 1.60, and I got 30% for the same reason.

Re: sircharles4999 If you're talking straight truck, then 28% of 1.70 = .476, which is right around what Panther drivers who make 40% of 1.20 make. This is a good wage IF you're not paying anything out of that, pertaining to the truck, like fuel or tolls.

I'm having the same problem. Wolverine FL put in new filters, and it ran fine for a couple of fillups. Then, it sputtered and konked out again. Had to add fuel; and now never let it go below 1/2. I'm having the tanks purged, and new filters put in.

Bulldog will not tell you a price when you call them up. What they will do is ask you to fill out a credit app, tho. But they won't tell you how much you're credit you're filling it out for. Once you're approved, I'm sure they'll tell you how much they're after.

C&M does the same thing, but in a different way than Bolt. If I remember correctly, at the end of the month they deduct around 2.5% of your gross (not including fsc) for the month, to help pay for liability and cargo. What I don't understand is, instead of saying you get paid 1.25/mi with C&M...

That's right. Expediting is different than OTR in that DH does not get paid the same as loaded; and that there is usually a grace of 50 or 100 miles DH. That is one of the things drivers "eat" in expediting. However, detention starts a lot sooner than in OTR. So I would say it's a wash. Just do...
