    TV for the van.

Cool... we were discussing it at the yard this week. Your input may be helpful to some.

    TV for the van.

They seem to be a bit expensive to have out on the road, but a projector would take up less space than a tv and it seems like it would be easy enough to have something to project onto inside the van. I really like the idea, but I'm not gonna throw that kind of cash it...lol.

What do you drive? Where do you have yours located? I'm curious if it works inside a metal body as well as the fiberglass. If it does, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an antenna.

    TV for the van.

For those interested, I purchased an antenna from amazon that is working great in the van. Keep in mind that my van has a fiberglass body on it. I have this antenna slid between overlapping layers of the headliner. It is actually laying flat on top of the headliner. I am getting great signals...

Have you tried deselecting "automatic"? Does it seem to be working? My nuvi750 actually has an EST setting and thus can be left on auto. It updates itself for daylight saving time. I'm guessing that since your having to kill the auto function to stay on EST that you will have to reset the time...

    garmin dezl 760

I was looking at some of the settings earlier. Have you messed with the "avoidance" features? Have you/do you know how to... pick and set via points on the map by touching it and picking a point? I'm at a Pilot, I may go inside in a bit and play around with one...IF they have one available.

    garmin dezl 760

I have found..at least on my ancient, but seemingly bulletproof, nuvi750...that the settings you want are likely in there somewhere. It's just a matter of understanding how to activate them. It also helps to remember how you did it....so you can reverse it...lol. I have found that sometimes I...

    garmin dezl 760

I just googled it and found this video. It appears that all you need to do is deselect the "automatic" feature and adjust the time accordingly. I would think that once you do this and set the time, the eta would be calculated from that time setting. As in, if you set the time to est, your eta...

    Walmart cell phone plan

My contract verizon phone ain't all that great in WKY either. It does get signal usually, but not a great one. Might as well forget data service on 65 in KY with Verizon.

    Walmart cell phone plan

I had a Net10 Walmart phone a few years back. It used AT&T towers. I don't remember having any more or any less signal coverage with it than the contract AT&T phone that I replaced it with. We are usually on or close to an interstate, which is where most of the towers are. If I saw a good deal...

I use to want the laptop setup myself, but once I got the Garmin, it never entered my mind again. Once you learn how to use it, it's just so much handier than messing with a laptop. The early versions of truck route gps systems were somewhat of a mess, but apparently they have all improved a...

I can see it now, eb parked in the truck lot using the side of a trailer as a big screen. You could sell tickets!

    TV for the van.

From what I have read, it will work great as long as your not trying to use an over the air antenna...and I think that will work with at least some of the projectors. I can see mounting the projector to the ceiling and having a pull down screen above the back doors and surround sound. I'm not...

    TV for the van.

I like the projector idea. I've looked at them, but it looks like a good set up would get expensive? I'm wanting to keep the cost down for now, but might take another look later. I think a projector would be awesome and might possibly be a better fit for my setup than a tv. I have a laptop and...
