    Roughest Stretch of Road!

I don't remember it being so bad in the straight truck, but in a van, the stretch of I-75 in Cincinnati from the outer loop to the bridge. The grooves are so deep that a van (at least mine) slips back and forth all the way through there. It scared me the first couple times I went through...

    The $12 showers

For vanners (we don't get points anyway...just shower credits), I suggest having 2 or 3 friends that you trust and swap card numbers with. With a phone call or a text to verify that your buddy has some extra credits, you can be good to go pretty quick.

    Breaking News

11+ years and nothing major? We haven't avoided a major attack by accident. Honestly, the credit may go elsewhere, I don't know enough about it to say (it could be that nobody outside of a small circle knows). I am convinced though that without someone doing a good job, we wouldn't have faired...

    Breaking News

Na...just cracking a joke. Personally, I think Homeland Security has done a good job of preventing a lot of major attacks since 911. Someone has anyway. I feel certain that the intent has been there many times, but very few were able to succeed.

    Over a 100 rds fired??

That particular group needs more than gun control. They also shot at somebody else...in error. There should be a huge push for every single one of those officers to be fired and prosecuted.

    Flying j prefered customer

Sure it was funny. I chuckled. I started to post a similar wise-crack, but didn't. Typos are common, no big deal. Some just leave you more open for cheap shots from peanut gallery....you got a cheap shot. It's all good.

Just the duct tape. The process of them trying to figure out who said what would be worth the price of admission.

Well, they kept telling him that fast food was gonna kill him. At 88, I guess it finally did?

That oil boom, Tx and Dakota

As for whether or not we get any of that freight, we definitely get some of it. Ive ran oilfield loads in my straight truck and at least one in the van that I can remember. For the most part though, it boils down to location. Most expediters dont see much of it because the traditional expedite...

That oil boom, Tx and Dakota

Actually they've been calling it that for 20 years now probably. If memory serves correctly, DaveKC may have some experience from back in the day.

Yes to all 3 actually but Laredo has, by far, the most volume. A conversation with your carrier would be advisable.

    Chest pains again

Good information Blizzard. We have a quite a few on the forum these days with health problems. Best wishes to all of you! I know for a fact that the problems you have had has caused quite a few of us to reconsider our choices out here on the road.

    Chest pains again

The fact that you don't even remember reading it proves just how insignificant minor spelling and grammar mistakes are. It also shows just how intolerable you are when you constantly chastise such minor mistakes that even you won't remember reading.
