Hard candies. Not for the sugar, but it's like having a cigar, for whatever reason it keeps my brain awake.
I like to eat something with a lot of protein and carbs. But the carbs need to be had a couple three hours before you need them. They make you sleepy up front, but drive the boilers...
I thought they said all this a few years ago. Which is why Panther decided to jump over to them so long ago.
I drove at Werner when they first instituted the original papreless program.
I've always liked it.
And don't get to comfortable in your CV's, gang. They will be bringing HOS to...
Why am I unsurprised by this "revelation"?
I particularly love the bit about 2 midnight to 6am periods off on the reset. Whoo dang. Some of us just happen to have a circadian rhythm strongest midnight to 6 and weakest at 9am to 3pm.
Hence me spending so much of my life working 3rds...
Yeah, I suppose that would have helped.
I'm not sure my owner wants me to post the specific issues. But I need some wiper work (not blades), the cigarette lighter outlet re-attached to the dash, some work on the door innards, and the power steering looked at.
Also, is that alignment place...
Who's got the best combination of speed, quality and price? The TA can't handle what's need doing. They lacks the parts.
It's a Freightliner Century stretched for a box.
Please no snarky replies about you can have two of the three. I'm asking for the best combination of the three...
Diet drinks...augh. Aside from the most heinous after taste, I refuse to consume Nutrasweet. Or that Splenda crap. I'll takes me corn sugars. But when I can get the cane sugar....oh so natural and oh so smooth....mmmm....
Steak. I think I'm gonna have steak tonite. Mostly cause it's been...
What about the numbers aspects? Yeah, picking up and delivering in a timely manner, and not looking like you're homeess is important and all (and shouldn't really be an issue, but I've seen those guys too on the docks), but how do you go about your number crunching to see if a load is...
Earplugs help too. I wear them a lot at home because I'm often asleep while others are up and about. And our place has thin walls.
I agree about the super micro-naps. I've been good on a 3 minute nap before. Too long, tho, and I have a horrible time getting geared back up. Any nap over 30 for...
This is pretty much why I switched from CV to ST in my first stint with Panther. I'm 6'4", and that low-top Ford was just not making me any kind of happy. Especially sitting for a weekend in Grand Rapids.
Christopher
Ummm, again, I think you've got me confused with the OP. I'm not looking to buy any vans at the moment, or employ anyone right now. My questions were for my own future consideration.
I'm actually just hoping to get back in with an owner at the moment. I'd prefer straight truck on top of that...
Sounds like they're an ok carrier if you're using them as a secondary or tertiary source.
But I think I can pass on them as a primary.
Thanks!
Christopher
Yeah, kinda had that part coming in. That's pretty typical. But, some companies that do that just flat suck to drive for, so I was trying to get slightly deeper details. What are they like, how do they treat you, etc...
Thanks!
Christopher
Think you got the wrong Dawgg, Ontario. Underdog is the one looking to add a couple (and the OP). I'm just asking related questions to try and get an idea of if being a van O/O is something I might wanna do one day, and if it is, what make would I wanna get.
It's only a minor threadjack...lol...
