    Bolt

Because the report I would post contains certain info - like Travel Order and Pro Numbers, Shipper and Consignee Names - that is, AFAIC, proprietary info of Bolt Express. That stuff doesn't really belong to me, and don't consider it totally mine to do whatever I want with - most particularly in...

Either that or just suck it up and learn how to negotiate ....

Seems like this is getting to be an annual event or something ..... Sure, I'll bite .... :D Here's the numbers for the last full month (November) that I ran - so-so on the loaded miles, deadhead a little higher than I'd like, pretty decent on revenue: Trips: 14 Total Deadhead Miles...

Friendly tips for new EO posters and newbie/wannabes.

That's kinda like getting the full results for the Nevada Caucuses from the GOP in a timely manner: "Ahhh .... it's held up a bit .... while we adjust things for our ... errr ... your viewing pleasure ...."

Yup - that's simple alright. But it doesn't address the issue that I asked about (indemnification and exposure)

Correct. What does your CIS policy cover ? Is it only bobtail insurance ? (non-trucking liability) Dave, I still don't understand your response - maybe I phrased my question badly: Is part of your contractual obligation to the carrier you are leased with, to indemnify them against loss...

Dave, They're not paying for cargo insurance - Bolt does that. However, despite having that insurance, the contract has an indemnification clause, - whereby the individual contractor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the carrier for property damage (including damage to cargo) and third...

skyraider, I don't know on Dispatchers only ..... we've been leased on there 4 years. During that time, from what I could discern, the overall company employee count has ranged from about 40 when we initially arrived ..... up to 60+ for awhile ... then back down to around 40 or 50 a couple...

    Has anybody seen this van?

Could be .... or not ...... I used cabinet grade-grade 3/4" oak plywood to build my bunk .... I was surprised at how light it was compared to particle board and other stuff (OSB, regular BC plywood) Dunno why exactly that was .... but it surprised the heck out of me ... ;)

Of course, the flip side of that is people who only hear what they want (as opposed to what was actually said .......)

    Van-mattress

I had an all-foam one made by the Original Mattress Factory (the local company Terry recommended) .... 36" x 66" .... it's pretty decent, but I should have ponied up and got it another inch thicker than what I did.

    Companies that run distances

Be interesting to know how some of the commenters would stack up on that 5K run thing .... (.... me, I got no illusions :D)

    Companies that run distances

I don't think that is quite the correct lesson to take from the some of comments on here ..... the real correct lesson might be how willing (indeed, eager, even) some are to comment on certain situations in a general way, without really bothering to have all the details of a particular, specific...

    Hello FedEx CC O/O

Would be illegal ..... Ahhh .... yupper it would (and does) Not without gettin' their teats in the ringer ..... Correct - that's how it should be from a legal perspective (not saying that certain companies don't cheat) If a US driver picks up a load in Canada, that load better be heading...
