They will have little to no reason to worry about the computers. Explain how the engine got damaged, not the fault of the tune or electronics. The tune on my 3.0 required no physical changes to the engine. One fuse got pulled, besides the exhaust, that’s it.

Try looking for a stand alone Sprinter dealership, separate shop for vans. Having said that, the dealership East of town treated us fair, a few years ago. If need be, spending money on a long tow, can be a good investment.

That age and mileage shouldn’t be a problem. Not sure of your timeline is for getting started. I’d be checking different carriers/companies to see who might be signing on van’s.

We run all season's, so far when the roads get bad, slowing down and looking out for people running over there talent level has worked.

We had a good experience with a dealer in Alexandria, VA. They have a stand alone shop, different location from MB autos.

We use the Blue Beacon for the undercarriage wash and, because it's easy. Also, they offer a Rainex brand spray protectant. The TruckerPro app, has truck washes listed.

We have 2 Deka L-16's mounted in a tight box, against the side. Right at 24 inches from center line to outer edge of box. Purchased from Batt-plus, just over $500 out the door.

The oil filter housing leak was pretty bad, good to know that the cooler leak starts more like a seep.

So the cooler leak was more or less not to bad? How did it show, or where did the leak appear?

How about it $printer shoes, at apx. 360.000, Alt went. 407.000, oil filter housing came unsealed. What next, oil cooler? Or..........rear end, trans, engine. What have you rebuilt or replaced before it broke? Replaced drive shaft and front struts at 200.000. Ours is a 2011, bought used in 2013...

Had new steers installed once with the balance media, can not remember brand name. The thing would shake its head starting around 70 mph. Turned out that one tire was perfect, (in balance) pulled the balance media out, all was good. Tire guy and I were amazed.

My Alt. went down, shop said my computer needed to be repaired because of Alt. I'm like let's fire it up and see. Charging system comes alive and they still try and claim it needs fixed. Dang, couldn't get out of there fast enough.

I agree with don't let the light come on. Seems to cause the system to go bonkers!

On our 2011 if we top off DEF tank every 1000 miles or 3rd fill up, it doesn't trip the countdown or CEL. Might have something to do with the top fluid sensor and how it interacts with the rest of the BS. Most of the time the countdown will cancel with enough cold starts and a topped off tank...
