UPDATE: Hey everyone. In the final stretch of paying off van. I could have paid off van a few months ago, but decided to allow the payments to continue to come out. 12 more weeks (starting first week of March, earned enough to close out February) and it'll be paid off from payments alone. I've...

UPDATE: Been awhile, still at company and with fleet owner who is selling me the van. I am aiming for within the next 6 months to pay it off. Worked all throughout the shutdown and me and pup are still enjoying the ride! I am thinking of opportunities for after I pay off van. Decisions, decisions.

I work with a fleet owner who owns the van

If I were paying for everything I would not have taken the deal he offered me because that would add expenses and take me off of my downsize plan. I like expediting but it is not the only reason I agreed to buying it. I have personal plans for the van that factored in to the agreement. Based off...

If I were in your shoes and not ready to make a move I would read as much as I possibly could to understand everything that goes into expediting. You have a good situation where you can take your time and not pressured to rush into anything. I would not buy anything, I would work with a fleet...

Expediter norm is 60/40. Some cases the driver gets 60% and pay for fuel and what not. Other cases 40% and just drives. Depends on the driver if they can make either work. I cant say which is better for others because I dont have as many expenses as others do.

I didnt have to pay for orientation or the drug test, fleet owner is leased on to a company so the company took care of both.

Hello, it was his idea, he called me up one day and said he wanted to sell the van to me. He said he offered others as well. It was at the start of the virus and I told him I wanted to think about it, then he told me about all of the things he would cover and it made sense to me. The van is...

Update: Still in Sprinter Van. Fleet owner is selling me the van. When I got into it it was brand new (2020) with only 36 miles on it so I have been the only one who drove it. He takes care of all of the repairs and fuel I pay about 600 a month for it. I think its a great deal. Think he got it...

Having a forum where new people can’t do what they want with their own lives, business and vehicles is not much of a forum. Those who do things differently are mocked by people on the so called forum is a sure way to kill it. Once again I wondered why it doesn’t get much traffic and newer people...

Oh I’m succeeding, in a sprinter van. So eh. Don’t be upset that someone from a different stance is just as blunt. And my fun hasn’t been ruined I just won’t offer more details of my productive weeks. I’m not strapped by obscene bills and can work how I want to work. Just because someone got...

Something I learned as a kid. Don’t offer your opinion unless asked. Last I checked I didn’t ask anyone’s. Just shared what I was doing. Grown men realize their place and when it’s not.

A point that he has no right to attempt to make. It’s not his life or business. Simple. Should stay in his lane. No need to try to justify someone in the wrong

I was sharing fine until someone decided to hate that I was in a sprinter van. Once again thank that guy. Nothing is going to change that. If people can’t see that he overstepped his role that’s on them not me.

Exactly, that’s why it doesn’t matter me sharing what I consider a productive week. If me being in a sprinter van cause someone to cry over it, my productive week will too. So avoiding it altogether. Thank that guy for overstepping his boundaries.
