Several things drain battery life like a vampire. Close all the applications you are not currently using. "Navigator" comes to mind. And all phones, no matter the brand or service provider will really suck it dry when looking for a signal. . If Sprint, for example, does not have 4G service where...

I found my best Sprinter solution was to simply buy a set of powered speakers, and plugged the aux from the XM into them. I sat the speakers on the dash ..... no removal, no wiring, just KISS .... (keep it simple stupid). Using the fm transmitter always found interference.

While I was still out there among y'all I used the laptop exclusively via Verizon data plans. Now that I'm a "stay at home trucker", I just use the pc ... I'm not into those fancy gadgets, those touch screens also go somewhere else I didn't want to go from accidental "touches".

I have one .... worked fine for me ..... understand when yer in the middle of the desert or mountains you may be limited in signal. NOAA broadcasts on very low power transmitters. Some smart phones can do a weather app that alerts you to bad weather? I think.

But ... if you are traveling, same county does not apply. Cobra makes a great cb with a weather radio built in.

One thing I have noticed with bluetooth, wireless, headsets is the fact they are programmed to "listen" ... and if the folks you are "listening" to have high background noise the headset will interupt your talking, to listen. The folks on the other end can't understand why you keep cutting out...

If that cb is so important to you .... stop by a quality cb shop, (like Walcott CB, on I-80), and have the pros take a look at it.

There was a time, when the cb band was much quieter that 2 antenna was useful. Now not so much ... may I suggest you remove that T and just use the one. And get yourself an XM radio and leave that noise box, (the CB), turned off! ;)

Sorry for trying to make it simple ... but then my sleeper, (ac power requirements) were all pre-wired in the construction ... to the inverter. I used no outside power source to power them.

Inverters do not charge ...... they make ac from dc. You need a dc generator, or a converter to make ac into dc. My converter charged both battery systems.

12 volts ... just more amperage
