The are a number of Air Tab enthusiasts on this site who will vouch for its benefits. An air deflector/shark/air scoop on the roof of the cab will certainly cut down on drag. I've even seen some small ones for the front hood.

Those penske cubes have a body that is called Fiberglass Reinforced Plywood (FRP). Sinbce you can carry pallets side by side, I would probably opt for wall mounted e-track. Visit any trailer repair shop in your area. They can do it for you, or mostly likely sell you the materials to do it...

How tall is the freight you've been carrying so far? If it's a former Penske, did you previously use the tie down bar that it came with? If so, did the height of the bar work for you?

Most trailer repair shops can sell you a 10' piece as cheap as a 2 ft piece from Northern Tool. They can also do the work for you if you want. Just Google up "Trailer repair" and your city.

Skyraider, You were asking where you could get a 10k GVW cutaway? The DRW model for GM that was 10K has the letters GBH in the vin. The 12K GVW version will have GBJ in the vin number. Not sure if GM still makes the 10K. I know the 12K version is now a 12,000 GVW version.

Personally, I would not give up on air brakes when considering a truck that heavy, just because of a fluke. They are still more resilient than hydraulics for a big truck.
