Landstar drivers get 10 points per gallon at Pilot/Flying J in the month of April. You must use Landstar Comdata cards to fuel to get extra points. Plus you still get your discount off the pump price.

If I were home, where the tag was mailed, I would snap a pic for ya. But it will be a little while before I get back there. They have the Landstar logo on them.

Looks like we are getting some spiffy new plates at LEAM/LS this year. Indiana Landstar tag. Just got mine in the mail.

Also, if you have Google maps with location history, you can see everywhere you have been and where you stopped.

I use a Garmin. I just add to favorites and name it with agent code

I use my GPS favorites to save pick up info with agent codes. Then when I get in an area, I just look at my Favorites to see what is closest to me.

This year I didn't get home for Thanksgiving, but I did utilize the Landstar provided, free meal voucher. I stopped at the Albert Lea Petro for dinner. They had birds roasting on a spit over the fire, ham and all the trimmings. Everything was very good . Truck stop food can be a gamble at times...

I should note that I passed my 1 year mark as an expediter with Landstar Express, but it was not my first year in the trucking industry. I spent 25+ years as an O/O hauling household goods. Expediting and household are two different animals, but many aspects do carry over from one to another...

Recently. I passed my 1 year mark with Landstar Express America. It has been a very good year. There was definitely a learning curve, but I have acclimated well to my new environment. As a solo straight truck O/O, I logged over 92,000 miles in my first 12 months, and they were very profitable...

The only glitch that I have noticed so far, is that some fuel stops/ truck stops will show on the map in the wrong location. But the prices (with the discounts) have been accurate.

For those unaware, Comdata has a pretty good app available. I've been using it for a while. One kind of cool thing about it is the find fuel button. No more calling TA/Petro ( Pilot, Love's, etc. is a set discount, and easy to compute ) for the cash or discounted price , just hit the find fuel...

New to Landstar or been here a while, we all benefit when we share best practices. Got my Google calendar set so I don't miss it.

It's a good idea to have it, whether regulation requires it or not.

DOT regs (393.11) state that straight trucks are NOT required to have the same rear door markings as trailers. However, Landstar does want/require the top, rear doors to have the "L" markings. According to Compliance, they want uniformity with the fleet. Be safe Greg
