What is the single-best thing you've done for your health on the road?

1st. Cook my own meals in the truck. Much healthier than anything offered at a truckstop or fast food restaurant. Fresher foods and generally prepared healthier. When you cook your own meals, you get to control what goes in it. Close 2nd. Exercise as much as possible. Lifgate loads, hand...

    My Battle of the Bulge

The "liver" taste. Probably not just you. The heart, like the liver has a blood/ iron taste from , well, the blood. Maybe not as strong of a taste in the heart as it is a muscle, where the liver is a filter. If it is just a faint taste, I might have to try it. Can't stand liver because of the...

    Going Bananas

I tried it a few months ago by accident, just stuck them in there thinking it was a dark place, and was quite surprised when 10 days later they were still good.

    Going Bananas

Maybe everyone already knows this, but I just discovered it. I like to have fresh fruit , especially bananas, but they don't last very long. I don't like them too ripe. I have found that keeping them in the fridge makes them last longer. I can now keep bananas for about a week to 10 days at the...

It's funny how our diets are so similar...minus the protein shakes. Cheerios or oatmeal. Or scrambled eggs with baby spinach and turkey sausage( when I can find it), either as an omelet or in a wrap.

Thoughts and Ideas on the Forum

The 12 volt coolers are reall nice too. No ice. No draining. I've had my current one for about 2 years. I think I paid around $80 for it, but the cost of ice for 2 years would have been a whole lot more. I've been using 12 volt coolers for years, they usually last me about 3-4 years and I...
