    Looking to get started

With the right company you will make well over 26k. Closer to 35k + if you drive for someone. Don't go for the larger companies like panther fedex or express one especially in a van if you plan on making the most money.

load 1, nations express, or ptl?

I really don't know much about nations express or ptl. I drive for load one and love every second of it. They keep me rolling really good. What I suggest is give all 3 companies a call and see what they have to offer and pick what best suits your needs

    Cargo vans and Panther

I was with Panther for 23 months all in a cargo van. Alot of ups and downs. Some weeks I would do great sometimes not so much. If you owned your own van I think you should have no problem doing good if you stayed in the east/midwest. I dont recommend a regular cargo van I would look for a...

    Stuck

You guys at panther I feel you I was there for 23 months until recent. If you don't play their game they stick it to you. A tip for you guys. If your on a board with a lot of people and your on the bottom. Take that small run less than 100 miles. Get that first out and head back to the board...

    Dock time?

In a cargo van most of the time its anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 hour usually. I have been at the shipper waiting for freight for 3-4 hours which usually happens 1-2 times a month.

What Can I Use To Heat Inside Of Cargo Van ?

I would also talk to the fleet owner on investing a few bucks to insulate the inside of the van or if he wont see if he will let you. Good insulated van and a good heavy duty sleeping bag should keep some warm through the day/night with some warm clothing.

What Can I Use To Heat Inside Of Cargo Van ?

regardless of what you use.....First thing you need to buy is a smoke/carbon monoxide detector. Some people use a generator with a plug in heater. Some propane heaters and leave the windows cracked to allow fresh air in. I bought -20 degree sleeping bag and it kept me some what warm but...

    Couple Questions

Im fully aware. I would rather have local training but dont have $3000 cash for it or dont really wanna finance $4500 . Thats the price for local training. They provide tech school training very cheap but its a 11 week course for your CDL and IMO thats to long.
