    Dash camd

I have a Garmin, expensive yet not worth the cost. It works. The ball socket broke & the electrical connector on the unit is sloppy. Jury rigged repairs for it. I would not buy another Garmin. It does record/track location & speed. I would not be without one.

Best Cargo Van for New Owner/Operator

It's just humors b.stick, just humors. Usually occurs when I'm stressed, more stress = more humors. It's a lot worse in combat, a tad more morbid too.

He's determined, he'll learn eventually, maybe? Once again I've learned in this thread as with others. Maybe one day I'll have the Christmas pie & my thumb will have the plum on it. Course by that time the pie will post on Facebook about how I mole - ested it and should be dismissed from...

    The way forward

As I study others, things occur that put me off. Paperwork fees, won't answer phone, or "we'll return your call @ our convenience". I left a company after hearing that. I recall a phrase " do you want what we have & are you willing to go to any length to get it?" Alas to often after...

    The way forward

I must be an idiot in this ?? I've struggled year after year. I've lived as stated by f-van .... Debt free, pay off vehicle early etc etc. I have what I started with dollar wise, but no profit. Damn sure no sense of security to suggest "gee bring another into your life". I've squirrelled away...

    sprinter-van question

Hhhmmmm?! I may have taken this out of context? FxCC doesn't do that. But then I keyed in on verbiage not context. My bad.

a chance to drive for fleet owner

Another glorious thread that says "it sucks to be here". Ha ha honest though. I never cease to be amazed at what people do to screw another. The millennials have it right walking in (in one regard). They know they'll get screwed, they have no loyalty, and once they achieve their goal for that...

    The way forward

No one's spoken falsely yet. Your key is "support family". Which as it stands is not doable in a van (my experience). Single in a str8 can be a challenge too. At the risk of being the "ogre" here I would say if young w/family ... do something else (just my 2¢). Nothing gets better out here...

    Which ELD to insta

Nope! When you see tractors crawling in traffic backups that's why they're doing it. Protecting the drive time (as much as they can anyway). Also why many hit the roadside & wait.

    sprinter-van question

You don't, unless you write it down. You said "c-Link" which implies "fxcc". With fxcc never doubt that it's never about you (despite verbiage which implies anything else). It is always about them. Fxcc is a total "system" environment. If it's harder than it needs to be & more complicated...

Difficulty learning from others experiences is why the Neanderthals died out, along with "Java" & "Peking" man plus all the others not mentioned. This same problem exists today in us. Verified by the fact that for every 100 women there are only 96 men. Check utube, gotta be a video out there...

Best Cargo Van for New Owner/Operator

The heart wants what the heart wants, could lead to heart ache though. Long & tall are the words of the day out here. If the load request says sprinter, they could send tall transit or tall promaster. Companies know if they send a short van they loose not just that load but future potential...

    Class B Question

I like the "T&R" response. He he he In a participation trophy world this is not sensitive & p.c. but I like it. Cause it's so valid. Creativity & hustle. Problem solving is a lost art. Should the individual leap this small hurdle and come out here. Only one day to wake up in a field of...

Did you leave a good paying job to get into this business?

Can't add anything intelligent to what's already been said. Thus: For some (1) it's an escape & evade maneuver. Tired of all the crap that nest of vermin called humanity evoke in daily 9-5 work. Human contact minimal, no social or family obligations, body parts not broken or wore out...

    Question about Van refrigeration

I doubt it require heavy refrigeration for flowers, pretty much just cooling yes? The problem with that is in a van the reefer will require the engine be constantly running. Plan to get real acquainted with your dealer for "forced regens". As the DPF will clog up constantly with this.

20' Box Truck no lift and not dock high...HELP

How far off from dock height is it? Look under the truck where the box joins the frame, look for a 2x4 or 4x4 between box rails & frame rails. Probably not there. Seek out dock high straight and compare theirs to yours. Loosen the box bolts (big U bolts) jack up box insert appropriate boards...

Already own a great van - Now looking to expedite

Been @ this 6 years myself, all of the above is correct & sound info. To many rats, not enough cheese out here. A CDL B is a lot easier to obtain than a CDL A. A TWIC & passport card are also useful (after the CDL).
