Well ....I'm enjoying reading your posts , but in my opinion you need to start making money after the start you've been through. What's so special about the Truck in Minnesota as opposed to the truck you have now ? Plus you just went thru crap to get this truck road ready ...and now your gonna...

You would think whoever put you in that truck to begin with would have had all that stuff done already . Who puts two complete newbies into a truck that has all these issues already before you even get started ! Good Luck to you

Okay ...let's try to figure this out . Lets say you get a 1000 mile run . Owner gets $700 dollars regardless . You get $350 plus the .10 fuel SURCHARGE once the load is picked up . Which is $100 dollars . Its probably gonna cost at least that to get there . What if it's a 100 mile DH ? Or more ...

Your getting hosed my man . Like someone noted research FUEL SURCHARGE . Turn it around and see how Your fleet owner responds .....seeing as how it's 50 / 50 ...tell him or her to pay all the fuel and then they can have the fuel SURCHARGE .

Not a great place to live and want to be an Expeditor.

You can find a very nice Straight Truck for 50 - 60K . It doesn't have to have 450HP or a lifgate, or a tandem axle , or a reefer unit to be profitable .

No Electronic logs at present , but we are running paper logs combined with a tablet with electronic logs but soon full electronic log devices ( Qualcomm like ) will be installed to be fully compliant by Dec . I am happy at PTL .

They have solo straight truck drivers . We are both Solo straight truck drivers for them . We are both owner operators. I don't think PTL has company straight truck drivers.
