I loved those series of commercials during the super bowl, good advertising for that company

    Stiffed on FSC

I hate things like that, a company demanded a friend of mine hand offload his shipment, and he refused to do so without being compensated, and they ended up adjusted his fsc by almost $25 just to pay him the hand load.

    No Empty Moves For X-Mas

When I was in California the other day Dispatch told me they would put me on hometime and I would be paid an empty move for home, since I had to leave 3 days ago to have a chance at getting home soon

    hard times

Vans don't have it as easy finding freight unfortunately, but it is out there, and with the price of gas so low I can easily move to an area for better freight for not a lot of $$$

    Turning down Loads

I've called dispatch on it, and a few others I know about have as well. Dispatch said, as of about three weeks ago, that if you turn down a load you keep your board position, even with refusing a run after doing a mini. I've seen it firsthand for van drivers on the Cincinnati board, and in...

How long do you Stay out?

To be honest, it's only happened once in the past six months that I didn't have one load off in a week. I've had several low mileage weeks, but a lot of times the next week is triple that so it works out. I don't mind, but obviously I'd rather be driving down the road than sitting anywhere...

How long do you Stay out?

I stay out until I get close to home, then I stop. The only time I go home under 3 weeks is when the company just isn't moving me around at the time. If I've spent almost a week without a load, I go home on Friday. Once I'm home I tend to spend 2-3 days here then out for that 3 weeks again.

    Class C

Some states (such as Virginia) require for class c that you either have hazmat or 16 passenger bus license, and it is a whole lot easier getting that hazmat than finding a 16 passenger van or larger to use.

    In truck scanning

I use a Canon Canoscan series, small enough that it fits inside a laptop case, works great for me, if you use Vista you have to find a driver for it, but I use it all the time and very rarely have to rescan something

    In truck scanning

The transflo program tends to scan things too lite for me, I just e-mail mine in, anyone know if there is a mode to darken the scans in the transflo program?

Nastiest Truck Stop on the Planet

Got a friend who lives there, and no, it's not any better. Their food is horrid and the place is still nasty.

    do pinstripes fit Pudge?

I think it was silly of the Yankees to trade for a catcher. They had an excellent defensive catcher in Jose Molina, and a decent backup for him. Jorge Posada will be back next year, although according to the Yanks website he is considering a position change. Ivan has helped a lot since he...
