Lawrence, Thanks for the reply. I'm in Colorado and you're right. Out here it seems flatbed is the way.

    1 ton dually or FL70

Thinking about getting into expedited or hotshot freight and was wondering which type of equipment to invest in. Does there seem to be more freight available for a i ton dually with flatbed trailer or better to go with FL70 straight van? Thanks for any input!

Good info. Thanks! I've heard that most of the freight listed on the loadboards are loads that have been passed up. So, the brokers or shippers post them as a last resort. Usually not well paying or some other negative. Is this true?

Isn't there a rating system or directory or something, that gives you credit information on the different brokers so you can tell who pays on time and who doesn't? Or do you kind of have to take whatever you can from whomever?

After reading most of the posts on this forum, it seems most everybody wants to lease on to a company. What about having authority and finding your own loads? It seems there would be better pay in it. Or is it just too hard to do?

    24' flatbed

Rich, Kind of what I thought. Which do you think is better, van or reefer? Is there much expedited reefer loads out there? Thanks!

    24' flatbed

Anybody have any thoughts on using a 24' flatbed (straight truck) for expediting? Or is a van or reefer better suited?
