NLM is National Logistics Management and PTM is Premium Transportation Management (Active Aero). Both are bid boards that carriers go to for expedite loads---tend to be lower pay because it is a competitive bid enviornment.

There are sites like Uship (that you can access through a link on EO), expediteloads.com, getloaded.com, and several others. I've looked around on them, but have never used em. It seems like it would be pretty hit and miss in finding something that would match up---right place, right time...
