Good deal or should I pass .?

Personally I'd rather lose $500 until I was sure I had my ducks in a row. I'm still not convinced it has a 3126. Bring an experienced mechanic with you next time, or agree that the truck be taken to a shop for an inspection to be done. I've had far too many people bring me rolling disasters...

Good deal or should I pass .?

A CAT mechanic and someone familiar with trucks and DOT should be given a couple hours to crawl all over it to find any discrepancies, then these things can be used as bargaining chips. At that point I'd have made a deposit if I were interested, imo. Sent from my XT1585 using EO Forums mobile app

Good deal or should I pass .?

Understood. I'd want a real close up photo of that valve cover to determine which engine is in the truck. There's no way I'll endorse a C7. Another forum member just poured over 10k into a 3126 before learning the engine is damaged. Sent from my XT1585 using EO Forums mobile app

Good deal or should I pass .?

The problem is several lines down in the description. It's a C7, not the earlier 3126. The description is wrong. 2003 marked the phase out of the 3126. The C7 is a ticking time bomb. Sent from my XT1585 using EO Forums mobile app

Good deal or should I pass .?

Pass. It's a C7 engine. These blow up at random past 350k miles and are ridiculous to rebuild. Sent from my XT1585 using EO Forums mobile app

    Ud 2600 ecu question

The turbos on these things don't last forever. If you spin the turbo, and put a bit of sideways pressure on the shaft, a worn turbo will bind a little, or even seize. I'd check this, and I'd be very critical of what I find. Do NOT waste your time getting it rebuilt. Get a new one from a Hino...

    Ud 2600 ecu question

Well, this was the answer I was hoping you'd give. Are the two ecus mix and match, with the same wires going everywhere? I have no idea. Maybe your dealer has access to an 08 Hino ECU they can stick in there and see what happens. Does the UD have an Allison, or is it stick shift? You'll...

    Ud 2600 ecu question

There's a possibility. Your injectors will not be able to be programmed, but it likely won't matter. Why do you want to do this? Sent from my XT1585 using EO Forums mobile app

    2011 Time Bomb?

With those dates, I think you're in the clear. I'm guessing between 12 and 16 hours. I don't keep track of how long it takes for me to do most stuff (because I'm slow!) The air ride suspension is much, much smoother. If the two air bags are segregated and given their own leveling valves...

    2011 Time Bomb?

No, I don't know what the serial number range is. Look at the sticker on the door. Was the build date in late 2010? Like July through October of 2010? These are the ones to watch out for. (give or take, like I said, it hasn't been advertised) The truck will run with no problems for...

Anyone have any experience with the Ford V10?

Compared to the GM 6 liter LS engine, the Ford V10 felt like a slug. In my opinion.

Anyone have any experience with the Ford V10?

It consumes more fuel to make the least amount of power than any other modern engine I can think of. Sent from my XT1585 using EO Forums mobile app

    Hino FM1J 2002

The best answer I can give you is 'I don't know'. It sure looks like it presses apart, but there were no twin rear axle Hinos sold in the US (that I'm aware of), and no one I know can say definitively. Sorry, and good luck.

    Hino FM1J 2002

That is totally unlike the trucks we have here. I can have some of the guys take a look at this picture tomorrow. It sure looks like it is pressed together, but I can tell you've been heating it with no luck.
