    LandShark is out of business.....

And your statement would imply multiple carriers/customers IS the better business model. The end result from Landshark closing is there is risk everywhere and no single investment plan can survive all risk aspects you may endure to reach your level of desired success. Well, there is one plan...

    LandShark is out of business.....

Look a little closer at my post, maybe I did not clearly imply that other carriers were pulled under by monies owed them by Arrows bankruptcy protection.

    LandShark is out of business.....

True, true enough. Your point about a proven track record is one reason we chose a different path in freight transportation. But, I have personally always had an appetite for things at the table of risk that many would toss their cookies to eat.

    LandShark is out of business.....

Unfortunately some of your comments seem to imply “it is safer to sign with one carrier”. And who would that be? I saw what Arrow trucking did when they filed bankruptcy. (I think that was fall of 2008) Many small carriers were pulled under along with Arrows demise. Maybe Landshark was pulled...

    Where is the freight?

Quote, May Report from Sylectus: The info provided by Sylectus needs to be clarified for expediters on EO beyond the numbers reflecting increasing line-haul revenue. At first glance the year over year rate increases look wonderful, but if you could breakdown the type of truck...

    Delayed Payment?

I would like to know more, when the carrier/broker you speak of placed a load with you what was your agreement for payment from them? It is not unusual for payment on a load brokered to a carrier to be 30 to 45 days before payment is received for the load.

Detector is approx. 13”4”x4”, white in color, single cord attached to rear from small solar panel, front has an opaque lens. Unit may be pointed in either travel direction on either side of road with mostly inconsistent spacing, though usually more than 3 miles. If you are traveling the...

    Have you seen these?

I'm sure many of you have seen the detectors along the interstates in a variety of location, signs, erected posts, over passes. Do you know what they are? Do you know what they imply?

    Custom building my own straight

There is much to be said for bringing in “new blood” into an industry that thinks small, med and large is all there is to satisfying the needs of customers. "They" as you refer to them may need a transfusion of new blood. Not Progressive. The carrier you inquired with about putting on a 28...

    Hidden Compartments in Trucks

Since you have to ask, yes, yes it does. But your INTENT will be discussed at length after your arrest and before your arraigned. Do you intend to smuggle something or hide something? You have an attorney present, so…. You have to answer the question. Do you intend to smuggle?? Just what are...

And yet, there are expedited ’53 trailer loads every day. Dumped?? And who are these “most EXPEDITE carriers”? And what the HAIL is a “true EXPEDITE St. Truck load”?????????

Why would you want to work for Panther, the cheapest freight offers in the so called “big expedite” carriers.

    Custom building my own straight

A much better idea for you than making a straight truck out of new KW T680 would be to stretch the frame to fit on a 120 sleeper with all the goodies you want, go with a fifth wheel and a pup trailer at 28 feet, forget about a lift gate, it will cost you to many high paying loads because you...
