    Dream come true

Well it looks like my truck will be ready next month. It is approaching that time in aviating over water when you reach a point that your remaining fuel will not let you do a 180 and head for home-make it or swim. I hope to see some of you on dry land in the coming months. Thank you all for...

    25/25 Guideline?

"Go get a free copy of this spreadsheet to figure that out. http://www.ooida.com/trucking_tools/CPM/cost_per_mile.htm Leo Bricker, 73's K5LDB, OOIDA 677319" Thanks, I did this but it does not factor for such things as a gen set that causes truck payment to go up and fuel cost to go down. I...

    MB900 Engine Troubles

Factory should offer a loss of use/income policy on trucks for this kind of loss. You can get it on a business owner policy and most homeowner policies have it built in. (sorry it's the ten years I spent in the insurance business) PS: I think I will stay with the cat c9 choice on my new truck.

    200k Gross?

Hi ER, I am in the final process of going with FedEx Solo. I did get some figures from FedEx but was told are skewed low for various reasons. Annual Revenue Averages Average annual activity for (2002-2004) D unites teams. No white Glove. Miles per year 117505 Ave per mile loaded 1.51 Ave...

Trying to put a business plan together. Can anyone fill me in on Fuel surcharges? How does FEDEX handle this with percentage of gross? How about other companies? What Truck interest rates are you folks seeing? So far legal Advise on going expediting is a go but financial advice is not so...

    DUTY TIME ON DAYS OFF

""If you are away from home you are not allowed to use the >truck for personal use."" Why Not? This is a DOT Rule? "I just picked up a Suzuki Burgman >for off time." Do you haul this in the Truck Box? Does this cut down on what you can haul? I have a Yamaha Majesty 400, that is why I am...

    I love to drive

It is late in the evening as I sit at my computer after a long day at work. That’s a nice truck I think as I look at the brochure, No air ride on my city bus, you feel and here every crack in the road. CD player, wow listen to music while I drive- no screaming kids and crying babies. I love...
