I dunno, but I'd be worried about being able to collect payment from a shipper that I have no relationship with and have not run a credit check on. At least on the inbound load, you have probably done business with them before or at least have some comfort level on their ability to pay you.

My first trip down to Wilmington and all I can say is wow - the expo's all grown up! Was well worth the drive. Stopped at Young's Dairy outside of Yellow Springs on the way back. I might come back next year just for that.

They picked up some accounts over the past year too. Nissan loads used to go through Panther and now they are on NLM/Landstar. Meritor loads are showing up there now as well. International Truck is going through Menlo.

EO provides a great outlet to talk about what is going on in the Expedite industry. When folks talk about transportation, expedite rarely seems to have a seat at the table.

Notanewbie is right on. Cost is important, but carriers are scored monthly and put into Tier groups based on those scores. Those tiers make it harder for poor performing carriers to get loads.

OVM - probably those Gobi fish or zebra mussels. There's stretches of beach along Lake Erie that are like walking on razors with those darn shells.
