    Expediting Company Called ME!

Thanks guys. Figured I wouldn't hear nothing back 'til next week. But I hope it works out. Haven't worked in quite a while, need some greenbacks in my pocket quick!

    U ship

It depends on what you want to haul and how much time you're willing to invest in it. I do driveaways through uShip when I'm not doing anything else. That is, driving a vehicle (whether it be a car, truck, straight truck or whatever) from point A to point B. But it seems I'm a rare breed on...

    Router

Can somebody tell me what a router is, and what it's used for. Can you use one in a truck to get internet service on a computer? Links would be helpful.

    Expediting Company Called ME!

I got in touch with an owner, who I'd found in the classifieds of this fine website, about driving with Tri-State. That has been about two weeks ago. I was approved by Tri-State to work with them, and the owner set me up immediately for orientation. But I told him, I haven't worked in awhile...

    the straight truck club

Count me in. I started driving straights way back in 1983 for a company that distributes ceiling tiles and related stuff. Drove from Nashville to Knoxville to Chattanooga every day, five days a week. Started out in an old Volvo straight and sometimes, that old Volvo would be so loaded down...

    Drive away service

Moose, I would've done that trip for ya for $1.00 or so a mile. I work with a company that does nothing but driveaways, while awaiting my introduction to expediting, and I also do work on my own. Anytime you, or anyone else here, needs a truck, van, sprinter, whatever moved from point A to...

    June Locations .....

Sittin' at the house in Warrior, AL (I-65, exit 287, Hayden/Corner exit, wave as you go by but watch the county mounties, they think they're big shots), trying to get the owner of the truck I'm going to work for to get off his butt and get me to orientation. Coming on board with Tri State as...

Wow! Stuck in Texas for 3 days, gotta refuse loads down here from now on.

There's actuallly quite a few toll roads in Houston. The Hardy toll road and the Sam Houston Parkway. But I agree it's nice without the mountains.

    June Locations .....

Take a chainsaw and cut off sixteen inches. It'll fit just fine then.

Fedex Flagship from MATS finally hits the road

Nice truck. A little messy though. I'm just saying, a brand new truck ought to be clean on the inside. But it's still nice. I'm sure it came with a nice price tag too, eh?

    Older Trucks

Makes sense about the floor in the box. I've seen 'em look so bad, it's like grandma's house 100 years ago, with broken boards, big pieces of splintered wood, cracks, missing planks. I've also seen 'em when they're brand new.....they look like a basketball court.

The Future (End) of Truck Driving is Closer Than You Think

Traffic might be the perfect reason to use a robot truck. I'm pretty sure that, if they do decide to use robot trucks, they'll have some kind of traffic awareness system built in that can make reflex moves a million times quicker than you and I could.

    Howdy From Alabama

I have a few. Once, while driving from Montgomery, AL to Pensacola, FL, a young lady walks up to me and asks if I want to see her new bikini. I said, sure, thinking that she was going to pull it out of a bag or something and show me. Nope. Her clothes start coming off, everything, all the...

    Howdy From Alabama

Well, not being able to see my daughter in person will be tough, but I have to make a living and support her. Besides, we both have Skype, so we can video chat every day. And I didn't mean to refer to myself as an employee, but rather someone who works with an owner.

    Good Morning From Alabama

My apologies, as I didn't realize I had already intro'd myself once. If a mod or admin would please delete this, I'd be appreciative.

    Good Morning From Alabama

Good morning, everybody. My name is Billy and, like some of the others, I've been lurking for awhile and thought I'd finally intro myself. I've driven straight trucks and Greyhound buses my entire life and decided I wanted a change. So now I'm looking to get on with an expediting company and...

    Howdy From Alabama

Just registered today and thought I'd intro myself. My name is Billy, I'm originally from Nashville, TN but have made my home in north Alabama. I have a class b cdl and have done everything from driving old Volvo straight trucks (when I first started driving commercially back in '83) to newer...
