    Dream Team

RE: Dream Not Team As it may be a joke, it is also a reality. I know first hand. I get calls/emails all the time from drivers, O/O looking to sign on with us, and many do say and write the very things ATeam writes, and perceives to be a joke. Broom! You read it right the first time. Even...

any expediting companies in lima, ohio area

There are some great fleet owners in the Toledo area. You should think about contacting them that is if you are serious about becoming an expediter. Unless you already own a truck not a van! Because most expedite companies are flooded with vans. Seems like back in the 60's, anyone back then who...

Are there any companies that have dedicated runs f

RE: Are there any companies that have dedicated ru Some companies do have routes, but I can tell you of the companies who do the routes more often than not, will not hire someone off the street and put them on the routes. It is a dream come true for most drivers to do dedicated routes and the...

    A Team

I sure hope this post isn't deleted. Here is the perfect post of a bored driver. Joined the forum as Rusty Jones and now is going to rat and bash ATeam for a thread that is almost a year old. The best part is he is telling us the company he drivers for leading us all to believe it is FDX, is...

    Maximum GVWR

Although the Fed DOT doesn't require a vehicle to run a log, you must also comply with your single state authority rulings. In most cases the states go along with the Fed DOT, but some enforce the 100 mile rule. It is best to check with both, and follow the single state rules as well.

Where are some of the old Posters

I've seen them come and I've seen them go! Many members come to this forum to learn what Expediting is all about then never return. Most of the old timers who have been around as long if not longer than I, and are still in the business find other interests and/or hobbies. They put the forum...

    $2.50 to $3.00

What would you guys/gals say if I were to tell you I did and still do receive $2.50/$3.00 per loaded mile using a cargo van? Remember now I'm not a leased driver, but am a small company of my own. I don't do Canada, or do I do chemical Has-Mat. The paid loaded mile to the cargo van is 75% and...

    Expedite Rates

Are you a driver for a company? It's not just about giving a customer a price to haul a load. There are many hidden costs, and rules like authority, insurance and so on you have to obtain before you can move freight, as a company.

    Governor

If putting a driver in your vehicle, and adding the governor is a smart thing to do. If I were going to do so I would set it at 70. I would tell the driver of the van there is one on it, and take him out to show him what it does. I would also contact my insurance broker and ask if a discount...

    Bad past!!!!!!!!

I think most companies do a back ground check, dating back 10 years. The problem is going across the border. If you are a convicted felon, you will not be able to leave the US, therefore not being able to hire on with anyone requiring you to be able to enter Canada. I don't know any companies...
