Although the Fed DOT doesn't require a vehicle to run a log, you must also comply with your single state authority rulings. In most cases the states go along with the Fed DOT, but some enforce the 100 mile rule. It is best to check with both, and follow the single state rules as well.

Are you a driver for a company? It's not just about giving a customer a price to haul a load. There are many hidden costs, and rules like authority, insurance and so on you have to obtain before you can move freight, as a company.
