sounds like he struck a raw nerve, but i liked his post. the fuel surcharge is so far behind its pitiful.the guys in the trenches are hurting, repos up 188% since this time last year.until we stick it to the shippers thing wont change. join ooida, theyre pushing for ways to help us on this...
yeah there is a real problem out on the road nowdays with trucks following to close, and the same guys complain when someones on their bumper.they also complain when a four-wheeler pulls out in front of them that they dont know how far it takes to stop.
yep its getting tough, im jumping ship. used to make good money but no longer. i drove by the ford plant in louisville friday night on the way home saw alot of trucks loading, unloading and waiting in line. all of them were e-units, all no name companies. hard times theyre not going to pay those...
if most loads are prepaid or paid upon delivery why do they wait two weeks to pay anyway. most carriers pay weekly some even pay the day the load was hauled.
is there any companies that would allow me to work two weeks on and two weeks off or month on and month off, it seems a few companies keep up with the in-service record. thx
panther can get loads out of tim-buk-to and bum------egypt if you can get away from all the other vans and straight trucks, they can get loads from some off the wall places.
i wish i could get a little heat right now, seems slower than ever. i think i will dh home, my company never gets freight on the weekend, surely not as slow as it is right now. by the time i idle all weekend to stay warm i can go home and use the same amount of fuel.
for panther to keep up with those rates are stupid. that might as well be forced dispatch. maybe for the drivers of the fleet owners but not everyone. they are trying to control you like your employees, if a run don't make dollars then it don't make sense.it got so bad before they sold out i had...
i saw an add for a sprinter for sale, it had a blown engine, i think it had only around 180,000 miles. i thought i saw the add on here, but it has been awile. how about some mileage reports from the sprinter owners and cost for repairs so far.
RE: monster miles this week with panther driving a
you should do well since they had so many quit, me being one, but dont worry i still see their ads all the time, i wonder if they still have orientation twice a week.
