RE: Revenue Potential of Tractor vs. Straight Truc I just edited that post from above, scroll up and read it. It was challenging just to figure out what he was trying to say.

Revenue Potential of Tractor vs. Straight Truck

RE: Revenue Potential of Tractor vs. Straight Truc A tad bit of editing... Companies pay $1.05 a mile, empty or loaded. A lot of expedite companies are paying 22% FUEL SURCHARGE. I drove a semi for a couple of years. At 32 cents a mile it is bull sh. If you are the owner of the truck and...

    HO HO HO...BREAKING NEWS

one S. Claus has been detained and is now being inspected by a ruthless D.O.T. officer, a full class one inspection. It seems he was initially pulled over for throwing some type of bottle out of his sled. This could be big trouble, the reindeers dont have proper rabies inoculation documentation...

    day cab beds

Somebody once told me that back in the early early days of trucking (before sleepers) the old guys used to carry a board and laid it across the seats.

    Canada I like runnin Canada

Just got my fast card approval letter, and have to go do that interview deal... Anyway the miles are good usually going in and out of there, my company pays a decent little amount for going over and back. The only thing that I dont quite understand up there is why is everything so expensive...

    Driving with yourSpouse

You can have my ex, but not for bug shielding. She d be much better suited to traction duty w/ the crazed co-driver in hot pursuit.

    Driving with yourSpouse

Seriously, there really is no absolute reason to tie one's wife to the hood....for one thing your vision could be obstructed while driving. Might I suggest the ICC bumper and an ample supply of bungee cords to be more appropriate?

    Driving with yourSpouse

Since my wife doesnt read this forum I can safely say this: Everything you do, everything you say, is filed away for potential future use against you. In other words the old adage "Let bygones be bygones" in no way shape or form applies to the marriage relationship. Anyway, thats been my...

    I need a job

More than likely the owner said accept 8 out of 10 and you ll be alright, which would be true. Its a little hard to imagine an owner telling a driver he only needs to accept 20% of loads offered.

    I need a job

Just a little curious as to what constitutes a good co-driver in your opinion, as well as a good fleet owner. From what I can gather you have been getting paid 64% of the gross, which is above the standard of 60%, also you have evidently been working for CC so why making so little money ?? Like...
