RichM is correct. As a sole proprietor filing under your own name you can use your SSN or EIN. I use my SSN for my tax filings. If filing as a coproration (Regular, S, LLC etc.) you would need an EIN as the corporation would be treated as it's own entity. -- Mike N Faster than a speeding poulet.
