    2019 HINO 268

I learned this after starting a Tech Assist case for a truck with P2BAE.

    2019 HINO 268

The lastest guidance from Hino is to replace the SCR catalyst and check dosing volume. The DEF dosage rate is too high and it damages the SCR. They are working on a solution.

2016 hino 358 air dump not working

There are two fuses, AIR_SUS and VAN. On the dump valve connector, pink is reset, blue is dump and black is ground.

2016 hino 358 air dump not working

I have almost zero experience with Volvos. I put an EGR valve on one 10 years ago.

2016 hino 358 air dump not working

We don't have 358's in the US but post the pic so we can see. Pretty sure the blue wire at the dump solenoid should have power when the switch is in the dump position.

Dash, Running and Tail Lights Out

You likely blew some fuses, and 90% of the time when running lights go out its a short circuit in the box somewhere. Or maybe where the box wiring and Hino wiring intersect. Look at all the wires running from the frame to the box, and where the wires run into the vertical channels of the door...

Post your questions on the Hino forum. There is a plug along the frame rail, near the end of the truck, where these circuits are separated. How it's attached to the box is not Hino's doing.

I'm gonna go ahead and blame my end since I noticed the same behavior elsewhere.

    2008 Hino 268 mediocre brakes

There is no proportioning valve. You can measure rotor thickness, but that's not going to affect normal braking performance. You can put a pressure gauge on each corner and see if each caliper is receiving the same pressure. There could be a blockage in the ABS module or something like that...

    2008 Hino 268 mediocre brakes

SOP is to pad slap them until the rotors are worn out, or until the tone rings rust off. Could that contribute to poor brake performance? Maybe. If the pads have already conformed to the rotor's surface irregularities, then I don't think that would be the issue. Also there's no way of...

    2008 Hino 268 mediocre brakes

Were the other Hinos you've driven air brake? In my opinion air brakes are more effective and take much less pedal effort than hydraulic disc. It sounds like you've already checked the caliper pistons for sticking. This has a hydrovac brake booster, does the steering effort feel normal?

    P240F active to inactive

I read it as P204F, wrote a reply, re-read what you wrote, looked up P240F, erased my previous reply and wrote a new one. So now I'm rewriting it again. Awesome. P204F is a generic code put out by the ECU when the DCU requests the check engine light. The DCU controls things like DEF...

Asus G60 laptop, Windows 7, Chrome. The touchpad is not in an area where my hands go, I've watched myself type to see if I'm contacting it and that doesn't seem to be the case.
