Economics of Uber and Lyft

I know Uber and Lyft have not actually turned a profit yet, but it makes you wonder if they ever will? Wonder how many expedite companies are in the same boat????
Out in Silicon Valley tech companies are financed by private equity investors. While they don't have an endless supply of cash, there are enough wealthy investors that want to get in on the next big "thing" and are willing to take the risk for a chance at the big reward.

Expediting, not so much. No investors would throw good money after bad because the reward isn't big enough. So, if a Expediting Co doesn't make a profit they don't stay long IMHO.

Trucking, expediting or otherwise, is a great way to retire with a small fortune. Provided you go into it with a large fortune.
