Had a 1361 mile load to Auburn, AL delivering Monday morning with a day layover pay ($75) and going right by my house. Drove 45 miles to the shipper when the load canceled.

Hold on a minute there, Buckaroo......lol..

With as much as you run, the rates you get, you mean to tell me that you are in OVM mode, only in socks???..lol that's about as bad as him cutting hot dogs in half.....Lmao..
I was raised a farm boy , 3 new pair jeans in the spring and 3 new pair again in the fall . My Wife and Daughter laughed at me 1 time for wearing the same pair of tennis shoes for over 6 years . I have always bought my clothes out -of-season for close out prices . This was a Habit way before i met OVM .
My Wife on the other hand goes shopping every week. But i don't mind her looking good , i don't care What i look like ..

Money not Miles
I have 3 pairs of pants, six pairs of socks, 4 shirts, one being 7 years old lol. I used to just wear the same pair of pants and the same seven year old shirt for a few years when I was not getting around much. Finally the people at the lab test and doctor's office caught on to me always dressing the same. Minimalism is bliss. I know people who have an entire huge closet full of cloths that they never even wear lol. My shoes are three years old and the other pair I also use is almost seven years old. I bought them for 20 dollars at Wally world too. Same with the clothes. I wonder if I would create a media circus at the golden globe awards? Highly paid movie actor in the new hit series "Expediter Wars" shows up in vintage Wally world attire!

You can try using compression socks when you drive. I will be using them when I drive again. They squeeze the blood back up to the heart and prevent pooling in the les. This is even better than doing calf exercises.

Exactly . I have found Dr. Scholls brand ti be the best compression socks so far. Medepeds brand at Walmart I didn't care for. Felt cheap.if you put motion on your feeet and legs, the socks do turn grayish over time.
I need to start wearing mine again. I was prescribed the 30/40 ones and they're too tight. But sometimes just the 20/30 ones aggravate my bad leg. Some days I don't even like having a regular sock on it. I'm a wuss when it comes to pain. I had to cut the tops off of all my right side socks and then the soc doesn't squeeze the calf and aggravate it. But the socks are definitely needed when driving. When I first went back to work 2 years ago, I could not work for longer than an hour without my leg swelling, the socks allowed me to work. Now it takes over 5 hours to get a swollen ankle and I don't need the compression socks anymore. They really work wonders for circulation.

Did a shortie this AM in MI, and I found it! Middlebelt Rd by Airport has been repaved. The only Michigan road without potholes.

Sent from my XT1710-02 using EO Forums mobile app

That’s this week.
Go back next week and you may find a few.

The whole state is a huge pothole. 75 south is open, one lane only, but it is wide open from the bottom of the big bridge to the state line.
Have your coffee cup nailed to the dashboard because it's gonna go flying lol!

Retirement is costing me a fortune....... Just before Xmas is the wrong time to be going to a casino, but Ragmama wanted to go this morning. So off to Mt Pleasant we went....Soaring Eagle Resort...
Happy Saturday!...... it's off to breakfast, then heading to the waterpark (this should be interesting, a couple of old farts at a waterpark).

So far I'm up $125.00, but counting the cost of the rooms, its a lot different.

May the blackjack gods be in a good mood tonight.

My wife works at a manufacturing facility in SC. She's been there 10+ yrs.

About 4 yrs ago our oldest got a job there at our behest. She needed a better job and motivation to finish her bachelor's degree. In short order she had both taken care of. Degree finished and a couple of promotions at work.

Our daughter fell for a guy at work, one of the program managers. Nice southern guy, nice family. He got a promotion. Now there was a conflict, she was under his hierarchy .. she had to find another job. She found one quickly, making about 25% more. They got engaged and got married last fall. Life is good ....

They just had a baby 1 month ago. And my wife as you can imagine has been overjoyed. It's been a good season for all of us, I guess. This week, the son in law got another promotion. He's the new director of the whole plant.

Guess who's now being asked to leave her job because of the conflict of interest in his hierarchy ....? :(

Happy Holidays ....

I'm back in our room... I'm too old for that waterpark nonsense.
Time for a nap, then dinner and back to the tables.....

Had a great meal.... played some more black jack, lost more money. I'm done. Just hanging out in the room until Ragmama is done playing slots.

My wife is optimistic. She feels whatever God has lined up is for her own good. She's been a recognized employee for a long time. Job market is good, we'll see ...

For me, I'd like to see the new promotion give the son in law a heart attack in short order. We already have our grandson, what do we need him for? He's insured .. he's just excess baggage at this point. o_O:D

Since I got my tablet I rarely use my laptop.
Apparently it's been a little while since I've used it.
Last night I started it up, and it wanted my password.
My first though was, oh crap, I have a password?

Fortunately, I had a very vague password hint.
Didn't immediately help, but at least gave me some direction.
After multiple attempts, finally scored the correct password :)

Isn't technology great
