I'd like them to adjust the time so the sun always sets at 9 PM ...

I used to hate getting off work at 5 PM in the winters only to have it be dark out

Nowadays, I just want it to be bright in case I have to work on things outside (vehicles , house etc ...)

If you’re far enough north, that would mean sunrise at noon around Christmastime

We delivered in Midland Tx this morning; because it was overcast it didn't get light enough to offload until 0745. Midland is about 60 miles east and one mile south of the corner of New Mexico, so an argument could be made that it should be in mountain time instead of central. Texas, however, keeps central time until you get within a couple hours of El Paso, which is its only major city in mountain time.
