Anyone go from van to straight truck? looking for advice.

Although I have no advice (no class A or van driving), this is an interesting discussion and I'd love to hear your update after you've been doing it for a while. Best wishes in your new venture.

been at it for a few days now, probably stuck for labor day weekend but may get lucky and we are first on the board. The biggest thing ive noticed driving wise is the width difference, i used to kinda hug the shoulder in the van so it takes some getting used to having to be in the more centered. Turning is pretty easy, not as effortless as a van but its never really an issue. knock on wood. backing up to a dock takes getting used to but its definately not backing up a 53' trailer, definately nothing hard but not just going up a ramp in a van. Hardest part so far is getting used to the 11pm to 11am shift, but at least its not a 24 7 shift like it was in a van.
